“If a picture is worth a thousand words, eight Richmond teens have a lot to say.
Eight incarcerated youth within Richmond’s juvenile justice system spent this summer with ART 180 putting their feelings about life — and their experiences within the juvenile justice system — into photographs, words, screen-printed posters and T-shirts, radio spots and other projects.
Their efforts are part of a larger plan to raise awareness and spark dialogue about juvenile justice reform by connecting the Richmond-based youth art center with professional artists, the Legal Aid Justice Center and other legal advocates.”
